High-intensity plasma air disinfection

High-intensity plasma air disinfection

Safe and reliable high-intensity plasma air disinfection with proven efficiency – Protection against germs, viruses and pathogens – Reduced air pollution and surface loads – Compact dimensions and mobility – Low operating costs without consumables – Flexible operation – Key component for your hygiene and prevention plan

NOTE:
The HPAD technology used here should not be confused with technologies used in domestic appliances that are often offered as ‘plasma air disinfection’. The quantity and quality of the plasma field and the exact adjustment of the aerodynamic flows are key for clinical disinfection. This is the only way to ensure that the air is in contact with the plasma field for as long as needed and to guarantee a high-quality purification process.

was genau ist Plasma?

What is plasma?

Plasma is created by supplying a gas with so much energy that a critical number of electrons leave the atomic shell. This results in positively charged ions surrounded by free electrons. ... Why? Stars are primarily made up of plasma, and thus almost half of all matter in the universe.

Fighting the coronavirus with cold plasma

Disinfectants are a scarce commodity at present, and sterile environments are a particular priority in the nursing and hospital sectors when sick people with weak immune systems are being treated. At the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen, research is being conducted into cold plasma in the ‘Plasma for Life’ project.

High-intensity plasma air disinfection (HPAD)

The amount of plasma generated and the accurate dosage of the amount of air drawn for the available plasma output, plus the speed that the air flows through the plasma field, are key factors with respect to plasma air disinfection’s cleaning power.

Additional HEPA and carbon filters

The devices are also equipped with a high-performance HEPA filter and channel the air through a specifically developed active carbon block to further optimise the purification process.
